PULLMAN, Wash.–Los Royales Del Norte, a traditional Mexican music trio from the Yakima area, will perform a concert Saturday, July 18, on the Washington State University campus.
The 3-5 p.m. performance is planned on the lawn south of the Lighty Student Services Building.
Group members Rafael De Leon, Joe Gonzales and Ramon Rodriguez specialize in the Norteno style from northern Mexico. The style features snappy accordion, passionate singing and driving guitar rhythms, said Paul Smith of the WSU School of Music and Theatre Arts.
The event is sponsored by the WSU Summer Recreation Committee and the School of Music and Theatre Arts.
