Scopus Trial Continues Through October 23

The WSU Libraries’ trial of Scopus, a scientific abstract and citation database and possible replacement for Web of Science (WoS), continues through Oct. 23.  Company representatives are hosting several one-hour interactive sessions designed to introduce the database and show how Scopus can support research, teaching, and scholarly activities. Charity Elifritz and her colleagues will conduct a demonstration of Scopus and field all questions. Dates, times, and Microsoft Teams meeting registrations are as follows:

Tuesday, Oct. 13, at 1 p.m.

Wednesday, Oct. 14, at 3 p.m.

Friday, Oct. 16, at 10 a.m.

Tuesday, Oct. 20, at noon

Wednesday, Oct. 21, at 1 p.m.

A switch from WoS to Scopus will be a change for the WSU community, and the trial offers the university community an opportunity to try out the database and voice an opinion. After reviewing Scopus, please fill out the comparison survey. For more information, email research librarian Christy Zlatos, zlatos@wsu.edu.

The Notices and Announcements section is provided as a service to the WSU community for sharing events such as lectures, trainings, and other highly transactional types of information related to the university experience. Information provided and opinions expressed may not reflect the understanding or opinion of WSU. Accuracy of the information presented is the responsibility of those who submitted it. The self-uploaded posts are reviewed for compliance with state statutes and ethics guidelines but are not edited for spelling, grammar, or clarity.
