Sept. 30: Power Breakfast to focus on how AI is transforming business and higher education

SEATTLE, Wash. – The annual Power Breakfast networking event hosted by the Washington State University Carson College of Business will feature Debbie Compeau, Phyllis J. Campell Endowed Dean of the Carson College. 

The Power Breakfast is designed to inform, inspire and engage business leaders on contemporary business issues. The event is $75 and will be held 8-10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30 at the Sheraton Grand Hotel in Seattle. Participants may register online until 5 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23.

Drawing on her experience as an educator, researcher, and academic leader, Compeau will share business insights on the opportunities and challenges AI presents for universities, employers and the next generation of business leaders.

Specific discussion points include how AI is transforming business education and workforce preparation, what business leaders need to understand about AI’s impact on organizations and talent development, and why human skills, ethical leadership, and adaptability will become even more critical in an AI-driven economy. She will also explore how universities and industry can work together to prepare students for the future of work.  

Following her presentation, participants are invited to join Compeau for a fireside chat moderated by WSU alumnus Jared Theis, KPMG LLP managing director.
