PULLMAN, Wash. — The Washington State University Symphony Orchestra will perform its first concert of the semester at 8 p.m., March 7, in Bryan Hall Theater.
Under the direction of Keating Johnson, the orchestra will open with Johann Strauss II’s fast-paced “Tritsch-Trasch Polka.” The concert will continue with one of Franz Schubert’s most popular works, “Unfinished Symphony.” Schubert never finished the sketches to a third movement or a standard finale fourth movement. The orchestra will close the concert with the Finale from Tchaikovsky’s “Fifth Symphony.”
The concert is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Johnson at (509) 335-3972.
