WSU network maintenance scheduled for January 2026

Information Technology Services (ITS) is performing scheduled maintenance and wireless upgrades that may cause temporary interruptions to internet service.

On Saturday, Jan. 3, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., network maintenance is scheduled at WSU Pullman. During this time, multiple network outages lasting 15 to 30 minutes may occur. These interruptions may impact access to services that depend on WSU Pullman network connections, including Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) phone systems. Because this infrastructure supports systems across multiple campuses, the maintenance may result in university-wide disruptions.

From Jan. 5 through Jan. 30, wireless upgrades are scheduled for several WSU Pullman buildings. During these upgrades, small areas within the impacted buildings may experience weak wireless signals or brief outages of up to 10 minutes. Wired internet connections will remain available where they are already configured. After each upgrade, individuals may need to reconnect to the wireless networks. This work is part of an ongoing multi-month maintenance project.
