SURCA abstract deadline Tuesday, Feb. 18

Students seeking to present their work at the Showcase for Undergraduate Research and Creative Activity (SURCA) should submit their abstracts by Tuesday, Feb. 18.

By sharing their mentored efforts in research, scholarship, and creative activity, students gain valuable skills in communication and also disseminate their findings to a broader audience — a critical aspect of research.

SURCA offers nine presentation categories covering students’ efforts in any any field. Judges will visit every presentation at the March 24 event and use a rubric for evaluations. Awards will be given to top presenters at a ceremony immediately following the poster event.

The public is invited to SURCA from 3:30–4:45 p.m. in the CUB Senior Ballroom on the Pullman campus. The awards ceremony starts at 5 p.m. in the CUB Auditorium.

The Notices and Announcements section is provided as a service to the WSU community for sharing events such as lectures, trainings, and other highly transactional types of information related to the university experience. Information provided and opinions expressed may not reflect the understanding or opinion of WSU. Accuracy of the information presented is the responsibility of those who submitted it. The self-uploaded posts are reviewed for compliance with state statutes and ethics guidelines but are not edited for spelling, grammar, or clarity.
