MOSCOW, Idaho – More than 150 employers from throughout the country are expected to woo hundreds of students from the University of Idaho and Washington State University Wednesday, March 6, at the 2002 Spring Career Expo of the Palouse.
The booths will be open from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. inside the University of Idaho Kibbie Dome, and employers will provide information, free logo gifts and, in some cases, job interviews following the expo.
Recruiters attending the expo will offer career, summer job, internship and graduate school opportunities. Small and large companies from varied fields including finance and investment, travel, merchandising, military, hospitality, health care, natural resources, law enforcement, food and agriculture, schools, engineering firms and others will be represented.
Mock interviews will be 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday, March 5, at the UI Career Services Office, at the corner of Seventh and Line streets in Moscow, and at WSU Career Services, Room 160 in the Lighty Student Services Building in Pullman. At UI, sign-ups must be made in person at the Cooperative Education office, Room 330, Idaho Commons. At WSU, advance online registration is required at www.careers.wsu.edu .
The “Be a Star!” Etiquette Dinner, which features training in business protocol and dining etiquette, will be at 6-9 p.m., March 5, in the University Inn/Best Western Convention Center in Moscow. Tickets are $10 and reservations are required. WSU students should register at Lighty Room 180, while UI students should register at the Idaho Commons, Room 330. The event is sponsored by WSU Career Services.
The expo is free, and no registration is required. Business dress and resumes are suggested. Sponsors of the expo are UI Cooperative Education, UI Office of Multicultural Student Affairs, WSU Career Services and WSU Multicultural Student Services.
