WSU hosts Investments and Endowment Virtual Forum, Aug. 28

The Cougar Pride statue at the WSU Pullman campus.

A forum designed to help the WSU community better understand how the university’s invested assets are managed and their impact on system-wide operations is scheduled for 3–4 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 28.

Mike Connell, vice president of Advancement and CEO of the WSU Foundation, and Leslie Brunelli, executive vice president of Finance and Administration, will offer informative insights into the world of invested and endowed assets that benefit WSU’s students, faculty, research, and outreach system-wide.

The WSU Investments and Endowment Virtual Forum will explore what an endowment is, how it works, how it is funded, and how it is managed. The discussion will also explain restrictions for these assets, address various other topics such as divestment, and dispel common misinformation about WSU’s invested and endowed assets.

The forum will be livestreamed on YouTube. It will also be recorded.

Submit questions in advance to be addressed during the forum.
