Washington State University students can interact with more than 125 employers attending February career fairs in-person and virtually, the Academic Success and Career Center (ASCC) announces.

“We are offering three opportunities for students to learn about jobs and internships available to them from employers in our region and beyond,” said Amanda Morgan, ASCC associate director.

“We are calling the events ‘Career Expo Madness’ to reflect the spirit of enthusiastic activities taking in place in spring, such as basketball tournaments.”

Career Expo Madness includes one in-person and two virtual events using Handshake, WSU’s free, online employment resource tool for students and alumni. The expos are set for:

  • Feb. 5, 11 a.m.–2 p.m.
    Career Expo via Handshake online
  • Feb. 6, 11 a.m.–3 p.m.
    Career Expo at Beasley Coliseum
  • Feb. 13, noon–3 p.m.
CASE Expo via Handshake online, focusing on communication, arts, science, and education students

This is the second year ASCC is offering a CASE Expo, and it is expected to be as popular as last year’s event, Morgan said.

Students can learn more and register to participate in any or all expos, as well as a wide variety of pre-event preparation sessions.

Faculty and staff are encouraged to also attend the expos so they can connect with employers and learn more about what is sought from interns and employees. An email to ASCC will start the process for faculty and staff to get access to Handshake.
