Discussion of Supreme Court’s next steps kicks off Foley speaker series

Discussions of the Supreme Court’s potential next steps following its overturning of Roe v. Wade will kick off the Thomas S. Foley Institute for Public Policy and Public Service’s fall speaker series.

Stefanie Lindquist, a professor of law and political sciences at Arizona State University, will kick off the 2022 Midterm Elections Speaker Series at noon on Sept. 6.

The event is taking place inside the Foley Speaker’s Room, 308 Bryan Hall on the WSU Pullman campus. It will also be livestreamed on the Foley Institute’s Youtube channel.

Given the significance of the upcoming 2022 midterm elections, Foley Institute staff invited expert speakers from across the country to discuss some of the nation’s biggest issues at-hand. Control of Congress, abortion, LGBTQ+ rights, polarization and redistricting are among the topics speakers will address as part of the series.

More information on the Foley Institute’s Midterm Elections Speaker Series is available online.
