WSU announces modified operations for spring semester

While WSU remains committed to a robust in-person experience this fall, some temporary changes to operations are being made in the interest of public health.

In a message to the university community Friday, WSU announced that organizers of large-scale events are being asked to refrain from serving food or drink at least through the end of January. This will help ensure attendees keep their masks on at all times. The affected large-scale events include sporting events.

Campus facilities may also need to modify their hours of operation or limit operations due to staffing issues stemming from COVID-19.

WSU has also released its stockpile of KN95 masks to campus and college liaisons for distribution. The university is recommending everyone to wear surgical-style, KN95, KF94 or equivalent high-quality masks rather than cloth in high-traffic areas.

The complete message is available to read online.
