Washington State University remains open and essential functions continue. On May 1, 2020, Governor Jay Inslee announced a month-long extension of the Stay Home, Stay Healthy emergency order.

The order is extended through May 31, 2020 and is a crucial measure for slowing the spread of COVID-19. Read more on the governor’s phased approach to reopening and recent proclamations here.

Most WSU employees who can work from home are already doing so. With this order, all employees who can telework without hampering essential operations must continue to do so.

Supervisors should work with their employees regarding their work schedule.

Consult with your HRS Service Team if you need assistance with evaluating work options.
