4th Annual Cyber Summit Oct. 30

Protection, awareness, and education can keep your cyber identity secure.

Information Technology Services is hosting its 4th annual Cyber Security Awareness Summit from 1 to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 30.

The summit is being held in conjunction with National Cyber Security Awareness Month and provides IT professionals across the WSU system an opportunity to come together to discuss information security trends and topics important to continued security efforts.

Students, faculty, and staff are all encouraged to attend. Proofpoint, a strategic information security partner for WSU, presents this year’s keynote topic. Tom Ambrosi, WSU’s Chief Information Security Officer, will then lead the information security team panel in discussing ongoing information security initiatives and take questions from the audience.

In addition to the summit, ITS spends the entire month of October working to increase student awareness through social media trivia, visiting with students through tabling at the CUB, and will be present at the WSU Safety Fair on Oct. 22 in the Junior Ballroom of the CUB. Stop by and learn more about how to protect your personal information every day in the cyber-community.

Visit the Cyber Security Awareness Summit website for more information.
