WSU Police Seek Rape Suspect

PULLMAN, Wash.–Washington State University police are investigating a rape reported to have occurred early Friday morning on the west edge of campus.
Captain Michael Kenny said a WSU female student checked into the Pullman Memorial Hospital emergency room shortly before 3 a.m. today and reported the assault.
The victim told police her attacker was a man she met at a tavern near the university who was walking her to her home off-campus.
Police cordoned off an area adjacent to Spokane Street near the university president’s home to protect the crime scene.
The assailant is described at a white male, 5-10 to 6-feet tall, heavy set, with brown hair and in his late 20s or early 30s.
Kenny asks anyone who may have witnessed anything unusual in the area or with information about the incident to contact him or Sergeant Scott West at the WSU Police Department at phone 335-8548.
