WSU Jazz Band II Plans Dec. 1 Concert

PULLMAN, Wash. — A program of Latin and traditional jazz favorites will be
presented Dec. 1 on the Washington State University campus. The 3:10 p.m.
concert is set for Kimbrough Concert Hall and is open to the public without
charge.

Jazz Band II, directed by graduate teaching assistant Michael Kambeitz, is a
17-member group of WSU freshmen and sophomore musicians. Featured
soloist Janna Schneider will join the band for the work “Sposin,” arranged by
Kambeitz.

Also on the program will be the local Bee Bop Combo, which will perform a
number of early ’50s pieces. The combo is one of 10 at WSU directed by
Horace-Alexander Young.
