WSU Invites Interested Los Angeles Area Students

PULLMAN, Wash.–Washington State University is inviting students from Los Angeles and surrounding areas interested in enrolling at WSU to an informational program Monday, Dec. 29, at 7:30 p.m. in the Century Plaza Hotel and Tower.
Wendy Jo Peterson, interim admissions director, says letters of invitation to the reception have been sent to 2,100 students who have inquired about admission. High school counselors have been invited and anyone interested in learning more about WSU is welcome, she said.
A number of university officials, including President Samuel Smith and Provost Gretchen Bataille, who are in Los Angeles for WSU’s appearance in the Rose Bowl, will take part in the program. A panel discussion with current students and alumni also is planned.
Approximately 550 of WSU’s 20,000 students are from California. Alumni in California number 7,700.
