Road Construction in Colfax Could Impact Travel for Student during Spring Break

Washington State Department of Transportation Eastern Region currently have a road construction project in Colfax, WA that began Monday, March 9th, 2015 at SR 26 and US 195.

Impacts will be that SR 26/ Palouse River Bridge and US 195 at the Colfax “Y” will be closed during daylight hours when work is underway. Drivers will need to detour one block to the north intersection. Flaggers will be at that intersection to assist turning traffic. All lanes will be open during non-working hours.

Drivers should be alter for congestion and delays on US 195/ Main Street and SR 26 in Colfax, WA especially during high traffic periods and may wish to seek alternate state routes when planning their travels.

Students who are planning to drive West using SR 26 are encouraged to seek an alternate route.
