We invite you to attend the WSU ACADA Best of the Region Advising Forum on February 138:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Washington State University, Compton Union Jr. Ballroom. WSU ACADA members earn two Level II trainings for attending the whole event. All are welcome.
Advising Students on Developing Resiliency as a Strategy for Academic Success, presented by NACADA Best of Region 8 award winners, Nova Schauss and Kerry Thomas from Oregon State University. These presenters have developed the award winning presentation into a 3 hour institute format that will allow us to delve deep into the topic to enhance the skills of advisor. Participants are encouraged to read the book Mindset by Carol Dweck in advance. Two additional workshops presented are: Peer Mentor Programs for Academic and Career Coaching and Working with Parents. The cost is free to WSU faculty/staff and includes lunch.
