Pullman Campus Telephone System Maintenance — Oct. 10-12

Information Services will be making changes to the WSU Pullman telephone system the weekend of October 10-12, starting 10 p.m. Friday the 10th through Noon on Sunday the 12th.

There will be times when phones, on a rolling building by building basis, will experience short (1-5 minute) outages. This includes all elevator phones, public telephones, emergency phones and alarms, plus calls between WSU Pullman and Urban Campuses and any other site using 5-digit dialing.  Calls in progress during those times may be interrupted.

Cell phone service is not expected to be impacted. If individuals plan to be on-campus and/or working during this maintenance period it is recommended to carry a cell phone.

If you find a phone has not re-registered by itself on Monday, October 13, please unplug and re-plug the network cable from the back of the phone. This will re-initiate the phone registration sequence which should correct the issue.  This registration process may take 30-40 seconds.

Both Facility Services and the WSU Police have been actively involved in this project and are aware of this planned telephone maintenance and brief service outage.

If you have any questions please contact Information Services @ 335-HELP (4357) or helpdesk@wsu.edu.
