Do you ship Hazardous Materials from WSU?  If you do or if you are not sure, contact the WSU Hazardous Materials Shipping Coordinators at 509-432-3869 BEFORE you ship!

Contact the HazMat Shipping Coordinators to Ship All Biological Substances and/or Hazardous Materials from WSU, including but not limited to:

  • Biological substances
  • Human and animal specimens
  • Infectious substances
  • DRY ICE
  • Chemicals
  • GMOs
  • BBP and OPIMs

What you need to prepare your shipment:

  1. Request for Shipment of Merchandise form which includes:
  2. Recipient’s name, address and phone number
  3. Budget and Project number OR collect shipping account number
  4. List of contents INCLUDING preservatives and media
  5. Number of vials and volume in each
  6. Contact information of shipper: email and phone number
  7. Dry Ice:  5# per day for small coolers
  8. Leave the package unsealed

What we will do to prepare your shipment:

  • Ensure that shipment is packaged and labeled to conform to DOT regulations
  • Transport to Central Receiving and ship!
