WSU Greeks Sponsor Food Drive

PULLMAN, Wash. — As a part of Washington State University Homecoming activities,
fraternities and sororities are sponsoring a food drive this week to benefit Pullman Child Welfare
and the Pullman Food Bank.
According to Interfraternity Council officer Nick Fisher, the groups hope to collect more
than 2,000 pounds of food by Friday, Oct. 1.
“There are 39 sorority and fraternity chapters on the WSU campus, so our goal is possible,”
Fisher said. “We want to show the community that we are making an effort to help out.”
Nonperishable foods can be left at the Bank of Whitman, 795 S.E. Bishop Blvd. Monetary
contributions will also be accepted. Those who would like to have contributions picked up can
call Fisher at 509/333-5274.
