High School Students, Families Due for WSU Preview April 7

PULLMAN, Wash. — More than 800 high school students and their parents looking at colleges and universities will be on the Washington State University campus April 7 to get a taste of what it’s like to be a Cougar.

“WSU Preview” begins at 8:30 a.m. in Beasley Performing Arts Coliseum with check-in and a department fair featuring more than 50 WSU academic units and organizations.

Participants can sample college classes; visit residence halls, sororities and fraternities; and tour the new Student Recreation Center. Many volunteer faculty members will make short classroom presentations for the prospective students, said event coordinator Mariah Maki.

The day’s schedule also includes lunch in a university dining center and a campus tour. A $15 fee covers the daylong event and lunch.

For registration materials, call the admissions office toll free at 888/GO-TO-WSU (888/468-6978). For information about overnight accommodations, call the Pullman Chamber of Commerce, 800/ENJOY-IT (800/365-6948).
