WSU Premium Beef Brand Celebrates One Year Anniversary with Focus on Local Beef Sales

In commemoration of its one year anniversary, the Department of Animal Sciences’ Premium Beef Program would like to announce the availability of Wagyu and Premium Angus beef for local purchase and pickup.

WSU’s beef brand debuted last year with resounding success. Today, the Premium Beef Team would like to thank Cougar fans and local residents for their support of the program by offering a limited-time, exclusive opportunity to purchase this beef.

WSU Premium Beef is healthy and flavorful. The beef is local and natural, coming from cattle born and raised on WSU facilities operated and managed by WSU students, staff and faculty. Proceeds from the program go the university’s beef breeding farm and cattle finishing operation, ensuring that these facilities remain available as educational resources for future students.

Two kinds of beef are for sale: Premium Angus which is comparable to what you would receive in a high-end restaurant, and Wagyu, which is world renowned for its unparalleled tenderness and flavor. Beef is sold in 15 or 25lb variety packs with a selection of steaks, roasts and ground beef. Supply of these high quality products is limited.
