The WSU Mobile app now makes it even easier for employees, students and visitors to complete their required daily attestation.
The app was recently updated to include a built-in attestation option. As soon as users open the app, the new attestation tile will be visible, displaying their current attestation status. Users will need to sign in to their WSU accounts using multi-factor authentication upon first opening the app.
“The new tile was created in response to feedback we received from students, faculty and staff, who wanted a more streamlined process for both completing their attestation and displaying their attestation status,” Gary Saunders, director of information systems, said.
This addition simplifies and shortens the process of proofing daily attestation prior to entering a physical campus building by eliminating the need to use multi-factor authentication. Once attestation is complete, the tile displays a green check mark as well as a confirmation number and date. The new tile is the result of collaboration between Information Technology Services, Administrative Information Services and WSU’s vendor partner, Ex Libris.
All students, faculty, staff and campus visitors must attest prior to visiting a physical WSU location, including campuses, extension sites and satellite offices.
WSU Pullman students living in university-owned housing, who have on-campus employment, participate in in-person activities or who plan to use spaces like dining centers or the Compton Union Building, must attest as well as complete arrival testing prior to the start of the spring semester.
The mobile app displays different colors based on student’s statuses: Green for both attestation and testing completed, yellow for one of these requirements missing, or red for a student who needs to attest and complete arrival testing.
Students will be required to show the WSU Mobile app with a green indicator to be able to access university facilities.
The WSU Mobile is available on the Apple App Store as well as on Google Play. A guide to attesting using the WSU Mobile app is available on Human Resource Services’ website.
