Theresa Elliot-Cheslek to serve on CUPA-HR Board of Directors

Theresa Elliot-Cheslek, vice president and chief human resource officer at Washington State University, has been selected to serve a three-year term on the board of directors of the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR). She will join the board on July 1 as the Western Region representative to the national board.

Elliot-Cheslek has been a member of CUPA-HR for over 20 years. She has held multiple leadership positions with CUPA-HR, including serving as the president of the Washington State Chapter and the chair of the Western Region board of directors. She helped develop the CUPA-HR Learning Framework and has presented at the CUPA-HR annual conference. In 2019, Elliot-Cheslek was awarded the CUPA-HR Western Region Distinguished Service Award.

Elliot-Cheslek joined the HR team at Washington State university in 1999. She a certified senior professional with both the Human Resources Certification Institute and the Society for Human Resource Management.
