WSU President Kirk Schulz and others will host the next COVID‑19 virtual town hall on May 1 to share and discuss the latest updates on the university’s plans going forward during the public health emergency.
All members of the WSU community, including students, parents, faculty and staff, are invited to participate by watching live on Youtube beginning at 11 a.m. Questions can be submitted in advance or asked in the comment section of the town hall, which will be monitored by staff from across the WSU system.
Among the issues that’ll be discussed during the town hall:
- Computer and internet access
- Grading options, including pass/fail
- Student fees
- Move‑out details
- Emergency financial aid
Panelists for the town hall include WSU President Kirk Schulz, Vice President for Finance and Administration and Chief Financial Officer Stacy Pearson, Vice President of Student Affairs Mary Jo Gonzales, Vice Provost for System Innovation and Policy Craig Parks, Assistant Vice President for Student Financial Services Brian Dixon and Assistant Vice President for Federal Engagement & Advocacy Glynda Becker‑Fenter, who also serves as executive director of WSU D.C.
