Four candidates from an outstanding pool of nationwide applicants have been chosen as finalists for the position of provost and executive vice president.
The finalists will participate in public online interviews on April 13, 14, 15, and 20.
“We are delighted by the qualifications and diversity represented by our finalists,” said Julie Kmec, professor of sociology, who cochairs the provost search advisory committee along with Stacy Pearson, vice president for finance and administration and chief financial officer. “We have identified candidates with outstanding leadership experience and the skills required to lead WSU’s statewide academic enterprise.”
“While we will need to conduct the interviews online due to COVID-19,” Pearson said, “we encourage the university community to participate in the public sessions and to share their insights about the candidates for this critically important position.”
Each candidate will participate in interviews with search committee members, faculty, administrators, staff, and students during two days of Zoom-based meetings. During the public sessions, each finalist will give a brief presentation and answer questions. Questions may be submitted in advance or during the broadcast.
