Voters are required to postmark ballots by Nov. 5 or turn in their completed ballots to a dropbox by 8 p.m. that day.

The deadline to weigh‑in on local and statewide ballot initiatives and candidates for elected office is fast approaching.

November 5 is Election Day, the deadline for registered voters to turn in their ballots. Ballots must be postmarked no later than Election Day or returned to a ballot drop box by 8 p.m. that day. A limited number of designated polling stations where voters can still cast their ballots in person are available statewide as well.

Complete lists of ballot drop box locations by campus can be found by clicking the corresponding links: WSU Pullman (Whitman County) WSU Spokane (Spokane County) WSU Vancouver (Clark County) and WSU Everett (Snohomish County). Most students, faculty and staff at WSU Tri‑Cities vote in either Benton County or Franklin County depending on where they live.

Washington residents also can use myvote.wa.gov to find the closest drop box or polling location to them.

Registered voters in Washington receive their ballots at least 18 days before each election. Anyone that didn’t is asked to contact their county elections department. Ballots will be counted even if the voter skips measures or elected offices on their ballot.

Personalized ballot measure and candidate information can be found through the state’s MyVote website. A frequently asked questions section is also available online.
