The New York Times bestselling author Michael Gurian will continue the Foley Institute’s “Pizza & Politics Series” with a presentation titled “The boy problem: Has society failed young men?”
Gurian will look at whether current policies aimed at raising the self‑esteem of girls have been detrimental to the development of boys and young men?
Boys have higher rates of suicide, dropouts, and drug use. His discussion will cover research on the social and cultural issues boys face and how public policy in the United States may be failing boys and young men.
