Vice Provost Kelly Ward dies following accident

Kelly Ward, vice provost for faculty development and recognition, has died following a July 3 accident.

In a letter to the WSU community, Provost Dan Bernardo remembers Ward as an enthusiastic and dedicated leader whose work touched many throughout the University system.

“Kelly had an uplifting, generous spirit that defined her as a person and as an academic leader,” Bernardo wrote. “She made everyone around her better and was relentless in pursuing positive change. She will be dearly missed.”
