April 6: Annual Insect Cinema Cult Classic Film Festival

PULLMAN, Wash. – Enjoy ‘insects on the big screen like you’ve never seen them before,’ as the WSU Entomology Departments hosts its 22nd Annual Insect Cinema Cult Classic Film Festival, beginning 5:30 p.m. Friday, April 6th, as part of Mom’s Weekend.

This film festival is free and open to everyone. Two classic insect films will be shown, along with a breath-taking display of live arthropods. Also offered will be popcorn and door prizes.

The feature films include: “The Deadly Mantis” (1957) (NR) family friendly; and “The Thaw” (2009) (R).

The event will be held in Todd Hall Room 276. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., the first film will begin at 6 p.m., and the last film will end about 10 p.m.
