RICHLAND, Wash. – Interactive electronic sculptures will be among the multimedia art on exhibit free to the public Dec. 8-13 in the Washington State University Tri-Cities Art Gallery in the Consolidated Information Center (CIC). An opening reception will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday.
The exhibition, called “Bordered,” will also feature immersive installations, print, paintings and multichannel video and sound works. The show title highlights “an exhibition that pushes the boundaries of art and the constraints of multimedia representational pieces of art work,” said WSU Tri-Cities student and participating artist James Arslanian.
Other artists include Hope Neidhold, Shawn La Fortune, Ivan Roman, Jordan Parker, Jesse Nguyen and Rachel McCall.
The group exhibition was curated by Peter Christenson, assistant professor of fine arts, to showcase 12 multimodal projects developed by students during his fall digital technology and culture course Advanced Multimedia Authoring.
