Oct. 7, 8: Community kids’ auditions open for ‘Aladdin’

aladdinPULLMAN, Wash. – Children of kindergarten through high school age are invited to audition 4-6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 3, in Jones Theatre at Washington State University’s Daggy Hall for the Missoula Children’s Theatre touring production of “Aladdin.” Performances will be at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7, and 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 8.

Children must be present for the entire audition. This is a group audition – no advance preparation is necessary. Approximately 50-60 local children will be cast. The first rehearsal will begin 15-30 minutes after the audition.

Rehearsals will be daily at 4-6 p.m. and 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Jones Theatre, and dress rehearsals will take place before each performance. Although not all cast members will be needed at every session, those auditioning must have an open schedule for the week. A detailed rehearsal schedule will be distributed after the audition.

The Missoula Children’s Theatre is a nonprofit based in Missoula, Mont. More than 65,000 young people across the globe will participate in the touring groups this year. The residency in Pullman is made possible by the Marriott Residence Inn and Beasley Coliseum
