April 22: WSU Spokane hosts Earth Day information fair

Earth-Day-2016SPOKANE, Wash. – A bicycle store, fair trade coffee house, campus recycling and more will host information tables at an Earth Day celebration 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday, April 22, in the Academic Center lobby at Washington State University Spokane.

Chancellor Lisa Brown will speak briefly at 9:30 a.m.

Organized by the Spokane Campus Sustainability Committee, participants will include:

• Roast House, which sells fair trade and sustainably grown coffees, sharing samples.
• Two Wheel Transit bicycle shop promoting biking to work.
• Greg Garret with Spokane Transit promoting vanpools.
• The campus recycling program.
• Sustainability programs from area hospitals and clinics.
• Campus Wellness Committee promoting environmental wellness.
