RICHLAND – An opening reception for the “State of Art in the Columbia Valley” Art Exhibit will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, at WSU Tri-Cities.

This is the second iteration of a juried exhibition that reports on the region’s state of art. Nine artists are represented, showing works including sculpture, painting, drawing and photography.

The exhibit runs through Oct. 29 in the Art Center, inside the Consolidated Information Center at WSU Tri-Cities, 2770 University Drive. The Art Center’s regular hours are 12 to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

Admission to the reception and the exhibit is free and open to the public.

The State of Art in the Columbia Valley exhibit is part of the 2009-2010 Liberal Arts Season of Events, co-sponsored by the Richland Arts Commission in recognition of the 20th anniversary as a WSU campus.
