Digital breakfast on the menu at WSU Vancouver

VANCOUVER – The Digital Technology and Culture program at Washington State University Vancouver and the greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce are co-sponsoring a breakfast talk from 8 – 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 2, in the Firstenburg Student Commons. Topics include social networking and a showcase by DTC students. The cost is $25 for the event and continental breakfast.
Professors Dene Grigar and John Barber will present, “The Digital Future: Today’s Technologies and Their Implication for the Future.”  They will talk about how social networking has become important in business and communication systems and, as a result, additional professional social networks and tools have developed, including LinkedIn and Google Docs.
The digital technology showcase presented by students and faculty of the DTC program at WSU Vancouver demonstrates cutting-edge digital media projects created for local businesses and organizations.
