VANCOUVER – WSU Vancouver has named Wim Geurden to the position of director of information technology, as of April 15.

Geurden comes to WSU Vancouver from JPMorgan Chase, Columbus, Ohio, where he was chief of IT architecture for retail financial services. He is a resident of Ridgefield, Wash., where he has lived since 1999. He has also worked as a senior executive in Accenture’s Financial Services Practice, and as a senior technology strategist for banking at Microsoft Corporation. Prior to Microsoft, Geurden was a partner with Accenture’s Strategic Information Technology Effectiveness group.

“I am looking forward to expanding the IT capabilities on this rapidly growing campus and to appropriately integrating a continuous stream of new technology into our existing environment,” Geurden said.

This is a new position at WSU Vancouver; formerly IT was part of the department of Library and Information Services.
