Dance review opens at Jones Theatre

PULLMAN – WSU dance students, the Elite Dance Company, and the Over 40 Project will present “Let the Good Times Roll” at 8 p.m. April 20-21 in Jones Theatre, Daggy Hall. The program showcases students in beginning and intermediate/advanced modern and jazz dance classes.

The performance features works choreographed by students, including junior speech and hearing sciences major Danielle Nelson, and senior dance instructor Phyllis Gooden-Young and is the culmination of months of creative activity and physical training.

In a collaboration between the Department of Theatre and Dance and the School of Music, the WSU Percussion Ensemble under the direction of Dave Jarvis, a professor of percussion and rock and roll history, will perform two compositions with dancers from the Modern Dance II class and the Over 40 Project.

General admission tickets are $5 and available for purchase at the Daggy Hall box office 1-4:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday the week of the performance and an hour prior to the 8 p.m. curtain.
