‘Reinterpreting Reality’ showcases WSU women

PULLMAN – WSU’s Compton Union Gallery on the Move, the Coalition for Women Students (CWS), and YWCA present “Reinterpreting Reality” at the Museum of Anthropology in College Hall March 24 through April 11.

This is the fourth annual group exhibit of paintings, photographs, sculpture, and textile art created by women from the WSU community, including students, faculty, staff and alumnae.

These artists express their experiences and thoughts on racism, multiculturalism, gender, sexual identity and stereotypes as they redefine themselves within the traditional roles and labels offered by society.

Participating artists include Crista Ann Ames, Molly Boers, Valerie Boydo, Elaine Green, Tamara Helm, Cindy Hollenbeck, Melynda Huskey, Erika Liams, Erica Ling, Laurel MacDonald, Jamie Nagao, Linda Puccio, Tracy Randall, Pauline Sarneshima, Heidi Stanton, Joyce Tamura and Giavonna White.

The museum is open Monday through Friday 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. with free admission.
