Lecture: Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Dignity

SPOKANE – Dr. Robert D. Gibson is the featured speaker for the April 8, 2008 Allen I. White Lecture.
 
Robert D. Gibson, PharmD, ScD, is a Professor Emeritus of
Biopharmaceutical Sciences, School of Pharmacy, University of California, San Francisco.
 
Dr. Gibson has advocated diversity in the pharmacy profession through the recruitment of minority pharmacists to improve the lives of their patients.
 
This free lecture, open to healthcare professionals and the public, will be on the Riverpoint Campus in the Phase I Auditorium, Room 122, at 668 N Riverpoint Blvd, Spokane. An opening reception begins at 6 p.m. with the lecture to follow at 7 p.m.

In addition to his educational career at the University of California, San Francisco School of Pharmacy, he has been a hospital and community practitioner. His honors include Fulbright Scholar; Remington Honor Medalist, the highest award presented within the pharmacy profession; and the Martin Luther King Award, UCSF.

He has also served as President of the American Pharmaceutical Association and the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy, and is the recipient of two honorary doctorates.
