PULLMAN – During the week of Oct. 15 – 19, WSU Dining Services will serve “A Taste of Germany” at each of their three primary dining facilities: Hillside Café, Northside Café, and Stephenson Dining.
 
In addition to the German foods, Dining Services workers will wear Oktoberfest vests and hats and there will be decorations throughout to celebrate.
 
Each day, a different German menu item will be featured at each of the three dining facilities from 11 a.m. through dinner. On Wednesday, Oct. 18, Stephenson Dining and Northside Café will hold their special German dinners at 4:30 p.m. In addition to delightful culinary tastes, cultural information about Germany and Oktoberfest will also circulate in the dining facilities during the week. Students will be able to learn about the origins of Oktoberfest, what Veal Schnitzel is, and maybe pick up a few German words.
 
“A Taste of Germany” is the second installment in Dining Services’ “Passport to A Culinary Adventure,” which started in September with “A Taste of Jamaica,” and will feature “A Taste of Northwest Native America” for the month of November. The rest of the year will include the following menus: December, Scandinavia; January, Australia; February, Morocco; March, Turkey; and April, Thailand.
