Sessions to explain PERS 3 retirement

Soon-to-be retirees and other employees looking for information to assist in retirement decisions, mark the calendar to attend one or all of the PERS 3 sessions June 4 at the CUE.

The PERS 3 informational retirement seminars, in the CUE, Room 518, are an opportunity for members and new employees to better understand the PERS 3 retirement plan and the benefits it offers.

The seminar schedule is as follows:

– 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. Withdrawing from Plan 3

Learn about the withdrawal choices you will have when you separate from all PERS covered employment or officially retire from WSU.  Payment options from your retirement account may be taken under a variety of payment plans.

– 11:00 am – 2:00 p.m. Drop in Session

Ask questions or bring in recently received investment statement for review with PERS 3 representative, Bill McGrath.

– 2:00 – 3:30 p.m. Investment Basics  

Learn more about investment choices, which include The Washington State Investment Program or The Self Directed Investment Program.  There are various investment funds within these programs, which will provide members with choices to create diversified portfolios.

Each seminar is scheduled to be an hour and fifteen minutes to allow participants time to ask questions of the education specialist, Mr. McGrath.   Spouses are welcome to attend.
