Parking and Transportation Services at WSU Pullman will launch a webpage later this month allowing faculty, staff and students to renew their 2006-07 campus parking permits online.
Eligible annual permit holders will be contacted via the MyWSU portal and a post card mailing that will direct them to the Parking and Transportation website, http://www.wsu.edu/parking, where they will find a button taking them to the renewal webpage, expected to launch March 29.
Permit holders will be able to:
* renew their current zone choice,
* choose a different zone based on availability,
* request to be put on a waiting list for a zone that is full, and
* review their parking account and update information.
“This process will increase customer service by letting people renew their permit and view and change their account with just a few clicks,” said John Shaheen, director of the WSU Parking, Transportation, and Visitor Center. “Why wait in line when you can go online?”
A valid WSU Network ID is required to renew a parking permit. Anyone who has lost or forgotten their network ID can retrieve it by calling the WSU IT Phone Desk at (509) 335-3663 and selecting option 2.
Those wishing to renew permits through the new Web service should also ensure that their primary mailing address with WSU Parking and Transportation is current. Mailing addresses can be checked at www.wsu.edu/parking.
As in the past, the initial phase of the renewal is restricted to current eligible permit holders. Once that phase is completed, annual permits will be made available to other parking patrons.
Those who do not have access to a computer to renew or purchase a permit can do so at the WSU Parking and Transportation office.
