The WSU Honors College is preparing for its annual spring semester Honors thesis presentations, which will take place from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Feb. 22 through March 2.
Each day, these research presentations will be held in the Honors Hall Lounge Room 110 and Honors Hall Library Room 120. The presentations, which represent undergraduate research at WSU, will come from all departments and colleges within the university.
Many honors students make research contribution to various fields of study, including the hard sciences, the social sciences, the humanities, business, nursing, agriculture and music and the arts.
More than 150 faculty advisers assist students each year in their research. Some of these advisers include: Professors Bintong Chen in Business, Bob and Sue Ritter in Veterinary Medicine, Phil Senger in Agriculture, Kathy Meyer in History, Rebecca Craft in Psychology, Rachel Halverson in Foreign Languages and Culture, David Moffett, Paul Verrell and Gary Thorgaard in the School of Biological Sciences, and Sunny Zhou and Ray Reeves in Molecular Biosciences.
The best thesis presentations will receive the honor of “Pass with Distinction” after being reviewed by the Honors Council, a group of six senior WSU faculty advising the Dean.
