National Honor Society on WSU Vancouver campus

Sarah Shoffner, assistant professor of human development and family studies at University of North Carolina, Greensboro, will officially establish the WSU Vancouver Chapter of Kappa Omicron Nu on Wednesday, Oct. 13.

Shoffner will conduct the chapter installation ritual at 7:15 p.m. in Classroom Building, Room 225. A reception and recognition of local officers will follow.

Kappa Omicron Nu is the national honor society for students and professionals in family and consumer sciences. Its mission is to empower leaders through scholarship, research and leadership development. The Vancouver group has maintained a national affiliation for the last six years and now meets the requirements to establish a local chapter, which will be called Nu Mu.
