PULLMAN, Wash. — Some 1,300 students and their families will get a first-hand look at college life Sept. 18 when they attend Washington State University’s Future Cougar Day on the Pullman campus.

The activities begin at 9 a.m. at Beasley Performing Arts Coliseum. WSU faculty and students will be available at the academic fair to answer questions about the university’s world-class academic programs and student organizations. A tour of campus will introduce students to the university residence halls and Greek community as well as the state-of-the-art Student Recreation Center.

Students may attend the event without charge. The cost for parents and other family members is $10 per person. The price includes a barbeque lunch and a ticket to watch the WSU Cougar Football team take on the University of Idaho Vandals at 7:30 p.m. in Martin Stadium (changed from the regularly scheduled 2 p.m. start to accommodate the Fox Sports Northwest broadcast).

Participants can register at Beasley Coliseum the day of the event or preregister online at www.visit.wsu.edu. Follow the “Future Cougar Day” link, and click on “reserve your spot.” Registration for the event will close one week prior to the event or when it reaches capacity, whichever occurs first.

Bank of America and Washington Mutual are sponsors of the event.
