American Red Cross Blood Drive at WSU Feb. 25

PULLMAN, Wash. — The Washington State University Bookie will host an American Red Cross blood drive Feb. 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

According to coordinators, the Red Cross is, and always has been, the sole blood supplier to the three community hospitals in the Palouse area, including Pullman Memorial Hospital, Gritman Memorial Hospital in Moscow and Whitman Hospital in Colfax.

Blood donors must be in good general health, weigh at least 110 pounds and be at least 18 years of age. A photo ID is required at the time of donation.

Call WSU Health and Wellness Services at (509) 335-5759 to schedule a donation appointment. Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are recommended.

Pullman Memorial Hospital will donate refreshments to all donors. Coordinators recommend donors eat a good meal and drink plenty of water before donating.
