WSU Enrollments Rise for Spring Semester

PULLMAN, Wash. — Washington State University enrolled 21,014 students for spring semester on its four campuses according to the official 10th day enrollment figures released today (Feb. 3).

In the spring semester of 2003, WSU enrolled 20,380 students.

Three of the four WSU campuses report increases in headcount enrollment over spring 2003. All four show increases in full-time equivalent (FTE) enrollment, a measure of overall credit hours taken.

“Students continue to show great interest in attending Washington State University and the quality of the student body is again very strong,” said Janet Danley, director of enrollment services.

The 2004 spring semester enrollment totals by campus are as follows: (spring 2003 figures in parentheses)

  • Pullman, 17,439 headcount, 17,342 FTE (16,917 headcount, 16,922 FTE)
  • Spokane, 636 headcount, 597 FTE (677 headcount, 573 FTE)
  • Tri-Cities, 1,104 headcount, 649 FTE (996 headcount, 602 FTE)
  • Vancouver, 1,835 headcount, 1,257 FTE (1,790 headcount, 1,176 FTE)
