WSU YWCA to Host April 22 Panel Discussion

PULLMAN, Wash. — The YWCA of WSU is hosting a panel discussion titled “Women, War, Peace” at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, in the Smith Center for Undergraduate Education, Room 419.

The free, public event will be a balanced discussion that is representative of the spectrum of women’s experiences as they relate to war and peace, said Rahwa Habte, one of the event organizers. The topics before the panelists are expected to include the affects of war on civilian women and girls, women within peace movements/women as peacemakers, women in the military (past and present), and feminism and war.
