Owen Science Open House Set For Nov. 1

PULLMAN, Wash. — An open house is planned Friday, Nov. 1, to celebrate the completion of a technology remodeling project at Washington State University’s Owen Science and Engineering Library.

The event is set for 3-5 p.m. on the library’s first floor atrium area.

The library has added wireless capability, hotwired carrels, office software workstations, upgraded Internet connections, a new reference/information center, Internet links in upper floor conference/group study rooms and areas designed for collaborative learning.

A 3:30 p.m. program will include remarks from Ginny Steel, WSU Libraries director, and Cindy Kaag, head of Science Libraries.

Guides will be available to show visitors the new features and facilities.
